We're thrilled to announce that fumopay and Cashflows have won Best Industry Partnership at the Open Banking Expo Awards 2026, in recognition of our Instant Payout Platform.
The winners were celebrated on 13 October at the Business Design Centre in London. This year's awards drew a 46% rise in entries, making it one of the most competitive years yet for the UK's Open Banking and Open Finance community.[1] fumopay was also named a finalist for Innovation of the Year, and both nominations recognised the impact of the same product.
For a team that has always believed Open Banking should be about real outcomes for real businesses, this one means a great deal.
A partnership built to deliver
Our relationship with Cashflows began in April 2025, when fumopay selected Cashflows as its acquiring partner. Merchants could then accept card payments alongside account-to-account Open Banking payments in a single checkout.[2]
We quickly saw that the opportunity went further than accepting payments. Businesses needed a better way to send money too. So we built one. In March 2026, with Cashflows' support, we brought our Instant Payout Platform to market. It is a real-time payout solution, designed and built by fumopay, that lets Cashflows merchants send funds straight to destination accounts over account-to-account payment rails, with no waiting for batch cycles.[3][4]
It's a partnership that plays to each side's strengths. fumopay built the technology: an FCA-authorised Open Banking platform that moves money instantly and intelligently. Cashflows brought deep acquiring expertise and an established merchant base, helping us put the platform in front of the businesses that need it.
